Beginning Piano
These beginning piano lessons are for school age children and older. We utilize the Piano Adventures Series by Faber during this one to two year program. Students are provided with many opportunities throughout the year to participate in Piano Recitals held at the Owensboro Symphony Academy.
Beginning Music
We are pleased to now offer private beginning music lessons for preschool and kindergarten age children. This program includes lessons to develop basic music vocabulary and rhythm, along with opportunities to explore musical instruments from each of the instrument families including string, woodwind, brass, and percussion. Curriculum includes lessons and stories from the Piano Adventures for the Young Beginner.
Group Piano
COMING SOON Designed to reinforce learning from each student's private lesson, these group lessons are filled with games and stories. Plus, students wlll have opportunities to play instruments with other students reinforcing their steady beat and skills playing dynamically. Additional cost only $15 per month.
Learn by Chords
If you are an older student, including adults, and have always dreamed of playing piano but do not want to spend years learning by note, we also provide lessons in how to play piano by simply using chords. In as little as a few lessons, you are on your way to playing for your next family get together.
Lessons meet once weekly for 30 minutes and are taught at the Owensboro Symphony Academy.
Cost
Only $68 per month (4 lessons) plus the cost of materials approximately $25-30 per course (pre-primer and primer levels).
Attendance Policy
Please try to call at least one day in advance should you need to cancel a lesson. Also, you will be glad to note that families only pay for lessons actually attended. These are tracked in each student's Blue Record Book for your convenience.
Summer Programs 2012
Too busy during the school year to start piano or music lessons? We are now offering a 4 week summer JumpStart program just for you. Flexible weekly scheduling is just what you need to get started. Only $68 plus cost of materials (about $20) and the $8 facility fee. This summer program includes both the Beginning Piano and Beginning Music programs.
